Welcome to a new season of Altered organized play! After launching the Whispers from the Maze reveals and previews last week, it's now time to dive into the Season 3 event and reward program.

The 2025 Altered World Championships are official! You can register now for the first events of the competitive circuit, the World Championship Qualifiers, which will begin in June and end in September.

The competitive circuit for the World Championship consists of 3 stages:

• World Championship Qualifiers: From June to September 2025, these events, organized by our partners in many countries around the world as well as on Board Game Arena, will allow 24 players to qualify for the Worlds.
• Last Chance Qualifier: A final qualification phase organized in France just before the Worlds will offer the most determined players the last 8 spots in the Finals.
• World Championship Finals: Come and experience the most captivating Altered event of the year at the Finals, a festive and community event that will crown the Altered World Champion.

To celebrate the release of Whispers from the Maze, Equinox, in partnership with A.W.O.L., is organizing a Whispers from the Maze Demo Deck tournament on Board Game Arena. Choose from 6 demo decks and discover all the brand-new cards from the set!

The best player from each faction will receive 20 promo boosters and 6 Whispers from the Maze boosters.

The decks will then remain available to players throughout the season on Board Game Arena. Test them out to discover the set easily!

• 8 Swiss Rounds: 4:00 PM - 8:30 PM (UTC+2)
• Top 16: 9:30 PM - 12:00 AM (UTC+2)

Registration for the tournament opens this Wednesday, May 21st at 4:00 PM (UTC+2), directly on the A.W.O.L. Discord server.

Promo boosters and the Adventure Pass are back for Season 3 Whispers from the Maze. Each Altered event you participate in at your local game store allows you to gain a level on your Adventure Pass and, depending on your results, receive a promotional booster with exclusive cards!

We've made some changes to the Adventure Pass to reflect decisions made at the end of last Season. We've chosen to remove season badges for now, while we rework player profiles. Instead, you can now unlock a full playset of each of your faction's promotional cards, totaling 9 cards, as well as several foilers.

This season, the promo boosters contain a series of alternate illustrations for each of the characters from the Theseus and the Minotaur cycle. Discover our version of the ideal Altered convention, which includes several easter eggs and references to the game!

A new competitive season for Altered opens with Season 3! Delve deep into the labyrinth and uncover the secrets of the City of Scholars.

As with Season 2, each store can host a Whispers from the Maze Tumult Championship. During this event, the winner, Top 8, and the best players from each faction each receive exclusive rewards, including a magnificent Tumult Champion stamped playmat.

Tumult Championships take place over several weeks at the end of the season and conclude organized play. In addition to the in-store rewards, the Community Event allows players to influence the set's story and unlock exclusive cards for their factions.

Come play in stores, try to win the title of Tumult Champion, and participate in the Whispers from the Maze Community Event to determine Altered's future!

More information about the Tumult Championships will be available in June.

Organized play for Whispers from the Maze begins on May 30th with pre-release events. Come discover the set at your local game store and meet other players experiencing the set for the first time!

At your pre-release, your store will give you a Pre-release Kit containing 7 boosters and exclusive accessories like premium adventure cards! Build a 30-card deck with the boosters you open and challenge other players in a fun, friendly atmosphere.

Pre-releases mark the start of Season 3. By participating in an event, you can begin unlocking your first levels on the Adventure Pass. Make sure to activate it starting May 30th to receive your rewards!
