Nothing in his path pointed toward becoming an Exalt. Trained as an exobiologist, Moyo’s calling was to study, on behalf of the Yzmir, the unknown species discovered within the Terra Incognita—chief among them, the Chimeras. Under the patronage of Saskia, a Muna naturalist, the entomologist began studying the Mana Moths, a species existing halfway between Aether and reality, eventually becoming a specialist in this hybrid lifeform. When the Nilam—the deceased world-tree of the snowy expanses of the Storhvit—collapsed following the release of Kuraokami, its bark was transported to be used as construction material for a magical structure dedicated to occult experimentation and the monitoring of Tumult currents. But when a massive larva was discovered within its crystallized trunk, it was Moyo who inherited the heavy responsibility of studying it and watching over it. As the Chimera transformed into a caterpillar, it formed a deep bond with its caretaker—so much so that the two chose to bind themselves through the Musubi.
