Della & Bolt

They had always made one hell of a team, even before they bonded with each other. Bolt had been entrusted to Della when she was still a child, back when Chimera deemed harmless were still treated as curiosities or even pets. She turned toward rescue operations, while Bolt, somewhat amusingly, gravitated toward medicine. She was offered a place in the Expeditionary Corps time and again, and even though the temptation was real, Della refused every time. Her first duty was to think about Ira’s well-being. Setting out would mean leaving behind their family, their friends, the stability and comfort of a home. Of course, her son saw it differently. He wanted his mom and Bolt to become an Exalt — superheroes. But in truth, he had no idea what that would mean for him: uprooting his life, loneliness… And yet, when a strange illness broke out within the Corps, she knew she wouldn’t be able to refuse again.
