Doppelgänger

Such fluidity reflects countless possibilities.
Story
393 AC - The spheres burst one after another, and some of them transform into dragons at Melusine's bidding. Zeph. I don't need to explain myself. My Chimaera detaches and dives to port, taking a few draconic creatures with him. But I still have a few on my back, along with the fairy's Eidolon… I need to shake them off. Who had summoned her? I'd learned something interesting by delving into the prison guard's mind. More than a mere assistant, the man had actually been a strongbox, trained to filter, encrypt and protect crucial, secret or even illegal information from any curious person within the Gestalt. Given the ambush targeting me, I had obviously got too close for someone's comfort.
I look back at the fairy chasing me. I fly really close to a water bubble, using its roundness to hide me a tiny bit. It's just enough for me to use Heka without her noticing. Under the water, I summon a Doppelgänger and tell it to follow me. Little by little, its abstract features become more defined and begin to resemble my own. It's a watery copy, which I then modify using Alteration to give it color and body… When I'm ready, I accelerate for two or three seconds, then order my lookalike to shoot out of the water while I dive. I hold my breath as I watch Melusine pursue my twin. I've shaken her off for now, but I need to know who summoned her.
Inspiration
In Germanic folklore, a Doppelgänger is a ghostly being, an evil double who whispers bad thoughts to its twin. It is often a bad omen that predicts misfortune or the death of the original person.
