Eris

You win some, you lose some.

Story

393 AC - Total respect. The look. The attitude. The power. I love it. Goddesses – they totally rock! When you're deep in a… sorry… at the top of a flying island where there's nothing but a constant stream of falling water (which ruins all my spray paints… great!), let's just say a goddess showing up can really save the day. I tried to repaint everything and make it nicer, but it doesn't work too well with all the rain. We were SOOOOO bored. So I thought it was a good time for a bit of gambling, just to get everyone to relax a little. At first, the others laughed when I suggested a game of dice. But when I pulled out the money, suddenly they were all interested. I laid down my terms: Bring a partner. They said OK. Pfff, what idiots.

Eris appeared, her wings beating in the wind, and landed on our rock with her charming smile. And without further ado, the betting started. The dice rolled, money changed hands. The pot grew. Those cheeky devils were hiding notes in their socks. Ha! And they talk about the smell of money! It certainly does smell when it's hidden next to your feet. A little wink between friends. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is when all hell broke loose. She won it all in just a few throws. She left them with nothing but their socks (well, not literally). And then they starting yelling at each other. There was almost a big brawl. I was laughing so much my sides ached. It'd been a long time since I'd laughed so much on an expedition. Not only that, we shared the winnings… 50% for me and 50% for… the genius who came up with the idea.
