With our new distribution model and the launch of Season 5, a lot of things are evolving, some you’ve experienced already like our new Competitive Circuit, but also many new updates and improvements to the player experience like the Adventure Pass rework. Let’s explore what’s new with Season 5 Seeds of Unity!

With the Winter Season Finals now concluded, the Equinox Team wishes to extend a massive thank you to every player who strove to qualify, the contenders who played through two days of intense competition, and the casters whose energy kept us all on the edge of our seats. We also want to recognize the tournament organizers who made this first newly-shaped competitive season a resounding success. Whether you were competing in the arena or cheering from the stream, your passion was palpable and continues to fuel our love for this game!

Before diving into what’s next, let’s celebrate the performers of the Winter Season Finals:

Congratulations to Pavayna, Sparky, TEMPETEDELANEIGE, and Moondust for securing their spots in the upcoming Finals.

We honor our six Faction Champions Moondust, Sparky, Yaicks, Zerosuitsamuss, Tim Titou, and Zoa, the very first players to earn their copy of their faction’s Hexarch.

And at last, a salute to Sparky, the overall winner of the Winter Season Finals.

The Seeds of Unity Demo Deck Tournament is just around the corner! Players can start exploring the upcoming set’s new mechanics through six specially crafted demo decks, already available on Board Game Arena.

Get your hand on your favorite Hero and to test your skills in our upcoming Demo Deck Tournament this Sunday, February 22nd. This is the opportunity to get a head start on the new meta and earn sweet Uniques from the upcoming expansion.

With the launch of Seeds of Unity, there is a wealth of new content to discover at your Local Game Store! Highlighting this release is the debut of Collector Boosters, the new top-notch experience packed with stunning cards that are sure to delight every Altered collector.

Featuring Foiled cards, Alternate Arts, and a significantly higher chance to pull Exalted or Unique cards, these boosters are the ultimate reward for those looking to take their decks to the next level.

Get your hands on the new cards and experience the set in a Limited format tournament. Build your strategy on the fly and walk away with a guaranteed Unique card just for participating in the event!

Throughout the season, you’ll have the chance to collect six exclusive versions of common cards from the Seeds of Unity set. Featuring a special Expedition stamp, these cards serve as milestones to showcase your dedication and involvement in weekly store events all season long.

Tumult Championships are back, and the rewards are better than ever! With a more flexible schedule tailored to your local store's availability, you can now experience the ultimate local showdown and compete for exclusive cards.

We have expanded the card prize pool to honor the Top 8 players, ensuring more players walk away with a win. Of course, the prestige remains: we will still crown our Faction Champions, and the Grand Winner will take home an incredible playmat!

As the Winter Season comes to an end with the launch of Seeds of Unity, we are excited to enter the Spring Season. This new chapter will culminate in an Online Season Finals, where four new challengers will secure their spots in the World Championship Finals. Our partnership with Online Leagues continues, offering fantastic prizes and prestigious qualifying spots based on competitive performance.

The Prize Structure evolves. To protect the long-term value of our new Unique cards, the prize structure is evolving to better reflect the power ceiling and card population of Seeds of Unity. While the number of Unique cards awarded per tournament will be more focused, we are expanding rewards for Faction Champions. To encourage players to make their favorite Heroes shine, we will now recognize the top-performing player for each Hero within the Top 16.

We are also thrilled to introduce a new milestone for our competitors: from now on, every champion of a 64+ player Partner League tournament will be awarded an exclusive Alternate Art Mana Convergence. These exclusive cards serve as the perfect trophy to track and showcase your achievements throughout the year.

From now on, the way you play and your Adventure Pass progression will match perfectly. Whether you are a social player who never misses an event at your Local Game Store, or a night owl climbing the ranks on Board Game Arena, you can now progress through the Adventure Pass in whichever way suits your playstyle best.

The upcoming season features six Faction tracks, each consisting of nine levels. Just like in previous seasons, you will unlock exclusive Alternate Art versions of cards from the set (three copies of each rarity). For the first time, you can unlock every reward across all factions for a total of 54 levels of content!

Furthermore, you no longer have to wait until the end of the season to enjoy your spoils. The moment you hit a new level, the reward is instantly credited to your Altered account and is ready to be added to your next deck.

As soon as the Seeds of Unity season begins, your progress will include levels already earned during the Skybound Odyssey set, allowing you to experience the benefits of this new model immediately.
