The second generation unfortunately appears, despite the risks undertaken, to be following the same path as the Firstborn. Of this new group, three have died as a result of the Cutting-code names Yule, Lughnasadh, and Mabon. The remaining subjects-code names Imbolc, Ostara, Beltane, Litha, and Samhain-appear, for their part, to be stable. However, I am beginning to suspect that Imbolc, and perhaps Litha as well, are maintaining their existence through two distinct entities in order to deceive our vigilance and appear to meet our expectations. It is likely that these two subjects have in fact fully merged with the Chimerae Gilavar and Williwaw, but do not wish to be classified as failures. Will the other three remain stable? If not, it will be necessary to find additional volunteers, perhaps from among the ranks of the Cebir. And even if they are, the procedure must be refined until it becomes entirely reproducible. It is imperative to replicate the bond that formed between Niavhe and Kaibara. Another concern lies in the growing agitation of the Firstborn. Whenever the Tumult begins to stir on the horizon, they can be seen turning their heads in its direction, scenting the air as though driven by a compulsion-a primal instinct. Is this proof that the Chimera is overtaking the human? Answers will need to be found, especially as the Qorgan now appears to be taking an interest in the experiments conducted within the Cebir.
