Group PODs Are Here: Order Together, Save Together

Since the launch of Print-on-Demand in April we've been listening intently to your feedback and working on improving the service. Making Print-on-demand more accessible to everyone, everywhere is one our top priority right now, and that’s why we’re very excited to introduce a new feature designed to help players reduce costs, optimize card printing, and collaborate with friends: Group PODs are now live!

Why Group PODs?

We know not every player is always able to achieve the minimal threshold of 20-cards to get started with a POD order. We also recognize that UPS shipping costs can be quite high depending on your country, especially for smaller orders.

We are currently finalizing the expansion of the list of countries eligible for both Marketplace sales and Print-on-demand services, which should be available very soon. We nonetheless wanted to offer an immediate solution to help the community make the most of what's available now.

That is why starting today, we’re introducing Group PODs, a way to team up and print cards with your friends.

How does it Work ?

Creating and managing a Group POD is simple and designed to be collaborative. Each user can have one ongoing POD order they created and manage, and an unlimited number of Group POD they are invited in.

1. Start Your POD Order

Just create a new POD order as you normally would.

2. Manage Participants

In your new POD interface, click on the “Manage Group POD” button.

Then search for the full player ID of the person you'd like to invite (for example: ScottyWL_6587) and click “Add”.

The group order will appear in their POD dashboard under ongoing orders.

Participants can be removed by the admin from the same section by clicking “Remove”, their cards will be automatically deleted from the ongoing POD order.

3. Add Cards

Each participant can add cards from their own collection to the shared order.

To keep things clear, the username of the person who added each card is shown below their submissions.

4. Manage the Order

The original order creator holds the keys to:

  • Finalizing the order
  • Adding/removing packs
  • Editing all cards in the order

Other participants can only delete the cards they personally added, ensuring everyone’s input remains under their control.

5. Payment & Tracking

In this first version of the service, the order creator is responsible for the full payment at checkout and for collecting funds from other participants outside of the Altered ecosystem.

To make things easier, the order tracking page displays a card count per user, helping calculate contributions accurately.

A First Step Toward More Flexibility

Group PODs mark a major improvement in how our players can interact with our Print-on-demand feature and we’re eager to keep building on it and open it very soon to more countries.

As always, we’ll be watching closely and listening to your feedback to shape future updates so gather your friends and get your favorite cards printed together!
