Zhen's Raptors have spotted a murmuration of messages coming from Asgartha. According to their estimates, there are hundreds. It seems I'm not the only one who asked for news. No real surprise there. I clench my fist, both nervous and impatient to find out the results of the votes. Some of these messages will reach the admiralty, and Singh will soon be opening her missive and discovering her fate. And the fate awaiting all of us. Will the Expeditionary Corps be ordered to turn back? Or will reinforcements be sent, including more Exalts?

I start to think about those who stayed in Asgartha, either because they weren't ready or because they were given other missions… I also start to think of Shan-shu, whose exploits were a part of my childhood. Seeing his swan had been a shock. I was aware he'd survived, of course, despite splitting from his Alterer. But seeing him fly again with Zhen had revived memories from long ago. What had become of those first Exalts, of those who came before us, even before that name had been officially announced? Something taps at the window, and I stand up.
