When I tattoo an athlete on their thigh, they've experienced much worse in training. When I tattoo the name of a deceased loved one above the heart, it's a promise that the survivors will remember them. When you are Bravos, you announce your life loudly and clearly to anyone who will listen, and sometimes at first glance. The needle reveals our rage, resilience, triumphs and setbacks.
